1. What is a Caribbean Airlines Gift Card?

A Caribbean Airlines Gift Card is a digital card that can be purchased on our dedicated platform. You can buy a Gift Card with a preferred amount and send it to the recipient or yourself via email.

What can Gift Cards be used for?

Gift Cards can be used to pay for the base fare only of Caribbean Airlines flight tickets and additional products or services offered by Caribbean Airlines on our website, mobile app (coming soon), ticket offices, and call center. Gift Cards cannot be applied to taxes, fees, and surcharges, which must be paid using another accepted payment method.

Important: Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase goods or services from third parties other than Caribbean Airlines.

4. How do I buy a Caribbean Airlines Gift Card?

  1. Visit our Gift Card platform (https://giftcards.caribbean-airlines.com/)
  2. Select the occasion/theme for the Gift Card
  3. Enter the desired amount
  4. Enter the recipient's name and email
  5. Add a personalized message
  6. Preview the Gift Card
  7. Complete payment using credit card
  8. Receive order, payment, and delivery confirmation emails
  9. Recipient receives the Gift Card via email for use on our website, mobile app (coming soon), ticket offices and call center

5. What is the payment method for purchasing Gift Cards?

Credit cards are accepted for Gift Card purchases. The following cards are accepted:

  • MasterCard
  • Diners Club
  • Discover
  • UATP (Universal Air Travel Plan)

 

6. What are the minimum and maximum purchase amounts?

7. Can I schedule a future delivery date?

Yes, Gift Cards can be scheduled for delivery up to 60 days from the purchase date.

8. What if the recipient doesn't have an email?

Purchase the Gift Card and provide your email. You can then print the Gift Card and present it directly to the recipient.

9. Are Gift Cards refundable?

Gift Cards are non-refundable.

10. Can I use the Gift Card for all services?

Gift Cards can be used for:

  • Flight tickets
  • Seat selection
  • Prepaid baggage
  • Meals
  • Special Services (e.g., Unaccompanied Minor, Oxygen)
  • Club Caribbean Membership

Exclusions:

  • Travel insurance
  • Caribbean Upgrades (Plusgrade)
  • Third-party services (e.g., Buy, Gift, Transfer, Extend Miles through Points.com)
  • Cargo/Jetpak
  • Duty Free
  • Hotel bookings
  • Car rentals

11. How do I check my Gift Card balance?

Your Gift Card balance can be checked:

  • Through our customer portal online (https://giftcards.caribbean-airlines.com/en-gb/CheckBalance)

12. Can I recharge or reload a Gift Card?

No, Gift Cards cannot be recharged or reloaded. Once the balance is depleted, you must purchase a new Gift Card.

13. What is the Gift Card validity?

Gift Cards have no expiry date. Your Gift Card remains valid until the full balance is used.

14. How can I use the Caribbean Airlines Gift Card?

  1. Select flights on the Caribbean Airlines website or mobile app (coming soon) for online redemption, or visit our ticket offices or call center
  2. Enter the Gift Card number and PIN received via email
  3. If booking amount equals or exceeds the Gift Card value, the full card balance will be used
  4. If the Gift Card balance is lower than the booking amount, pay the difference using accepted payment methods

15. Can I use the Gift Card partially?

Yes, partial redemption is allowed. All Gift Cards allow multiple uses until the balance reaches zero. If a purchase exceeds the card value, you can pay the difference using accepted payment methods. Any remaining balance stays on your Gift Card for future use.

16. Can I purchase a physical Gift Card?

No, Gift Cards are only available in digital format and will be sent via email at this time.

17. Can I redeem the Gift Card at travel agencies or other websites?

No. Gift Cards can only be redeemed through Caribbean Airlines direct channels:

  • Caribbean Airlines website
  • Caribbean Airlines mobile app (coming soon)
  • Caribbean Airlines call center
  • Caribbean Airlines authorized ticket offices

18. What if I misspelled the name on the Gift Card?

Contact our Call Center to correct the name. Have your order number ready when you call.

19. Can I transfer my Gift Card to someone else?

Gift Cards are non-transferable. However, the person in possession of the Gift Card number and PIN can use it to make purchases for anyone.

20. Will I earn Caribbean Miles for Gift Card purchases?

Purchasing the Gift Card does not earn miles directly. However, when the Gift Card is applied to a flight ticket purchase, you will earn Caribbean Miles on the full base fare, including the value paid using the Gift Card.

21. Can I combine a Gift Card with a refund or compensation voucher?

Yes, you can combine Gift Cards with refund or compensation vouchers by utilizing our Wallet feature. Simply register your account, add your Gift Cards and voucher codes, and use your email and PIN when checking out to maximize your balance.

22. Is there a central location where all my digital credits can be stored?

Yes. You may register for our online Wallet service. This digital portal houses all your Gift Cards, refund vouchers, and compensation vouchers in one centralized account.

When using the Wallet, you can check out using your email address and PIN, and your balance will automatically be applied based on applicability. The Wallet also enables currency conversion for international bookings.

23. Can I redeem a Gift Card to pay for a booking in another currency?

As a standalone Gift Card, no. However, when the Gift Card is added to the Wallet, currency conversion is possible. The system will automatically convert your Gift Card value to the booking currency based on the current exchange rate.

24. How long do I have to wait to use my Gift Card?

You will need to wait at least 24 hours from the time of issuance before the Gift Card can be used for redemption.

25. Can I use multiple Gift Cards for one booking?

Yes. You can combine multiple Gift Cards for a single purchase by:

  • Adding them to your Wallet and using your Wallet credentials at checkout, OR
  • Entering each Gift Card number and PIN separately during the payment process (where the booking system allows)

26. What happens if I cancel a ticket purchased with a Gift Card?

If you cancel a ticket purchased with a Gift Card, the refunded amount will be credited back to the original Gift Card. The refund will follow the ticket's fare rules and conditions.

27. What should I do if my Gift Card doesn't work?

If you experience issues with your Gift Card, contact our customer service center with:

  • Your Gift Card number
  • Order number (if applicable)
  • Description of the issue

28. What if I lose my Gift Card details?

Gift Cards are like cash and cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or used without authorization. Keep your Gift Card number and PIN secure. If you've added your Gift Card to the Wallet, you can access the details through your Wallet account.

29. Can travel agencies purchase Gift Cards for their customers?

No. Travel agencies are prohibited from purchasing Gift Cards for resale to customers. Gift Cards are for individual consumer use only.
